Water Conservation

Over the last fifty years the population of the United States has doubled while our demand for water his tripled.  In some parts of the country water demands are quickly outpacing supplies.  For this reason it is important that we are efficient with our water supply and do our best to conserve our water resources.  The website dietspotlight (https://www.dietspotlight.com/water-conservation/) provides a list of facts, tips, and myths related to water conservation that we can incorporate into our lives so that we can do our part to conserve water.

The North Idaho Operators Section of the PNCWA will be hosting the annual Idaho Operators Conference this May.

Water Loss Workshop for Small Water Systems

Managing water loss is important to maximize system revenues, cut energy use and operating costs, improve water quality, address failing infrastructure, and mitigate impacts of limited water resources from drought or contamination. You will learn how to conduct a water balance; address non-revenue water including apparent losses and real losses (leakage); set goals that are specific, measurable, and attainable; and efficiently spend limited resources to address water loss.  Heather Himmelberger will be presenting from the Tumwater location, but the workshop will be broadcast to the River View Corporate Center and the Kent Regional Office.

Free Aerobic Digestion Webinar
